The Abandoned Mine is a location in Ghostbusters.
After being alerted by a foreman that this mine was haunted, the original Ghost Busters decided to take their sons along to the abandoned mine and teach them how to bust ghosts. Sure enough, Scared Stiff appeared riding a mine cart. Jake Kong Jr. and Eddie Spenser Jr. were instructed to use the Ghost Dematerializer and Ghost Gummer on the robot ghost. But eventually it was Kong Sr. who dematerialized it.
Subseqently, Prime Evil appeared with his Bone Troller and threatened that the Ghost Busters had just busted their last ghost. Working togehter, all four Busters managed to trap Prime Evil in a vault and locked him in. As he was unable to pass through steel without the Bone Troller, Prime Evil was trapped for a hundred years together with Brat-A-Rat who was already inside before he entered. The Ghost Busters sealed off the mine from the outside, leaving the Bone Troller to gether dust.
In 2086, Prime Evil managed to trick Belfry into letting them out by pretending to be a playful bat. Finally freed, Prime Evil used Brat-A-Rat to dust off his Bone Troller and began making plans to settle his score with the Ghostbusters.
