Carola de Canterville, also called Carla, lived a normal life in her ancestral castle, which she shared with the ghost of her long dead ancestor, Sir Simon de Canterville.
Sir Simon was cursed to roam the castle forever because he had spent all his days being a coward. If he only managed to perform a single brave deed, he would be allowed to cros over. Although Carola loved Sir Simon very much, she did not appreciate being pranked by him while doing the ironing and decided to call in the Ghost Busters for help. However, she was unaware it was not Sir Simon who had misplaced her laundry, but a criminal named Mr. C.
'C' had infiltrated Canterville Castle to steal the fabled Canterville Diamond. 'C' had a great knowledge of all the secret passage ways and hidden peepholes, aparently even more than Carola and Sir Simon.
Sir Simon finally managed to perform his brave deed when he attempted to protect Carola from Tracy, even though she wasn't in any danger from the gorilla at all. Shortly after that, he crossed over, but not before Carola reminded him to wear the Canterville diamond around his neck, as his ancestors would expect him to be wearing it.
