Jake Kong is the no nonsense member of the Ghost Busters. He is the leader of the group, and seems to always have a grip in a given event.
Personality[]
While he seems to have a grumpy character at first, he is proven to really have a heart of gold. While he seems to be pushing for a serious environment, he seems to love a good laugh.
Physical Description[]
He is known for the sports shirt with a number '5' on it. Later, he would adopt a similar shirt with different color and number ('8') in the animated series.
Ghost Busters Live Action Series[]
In the show he was the leader of the Ghost Busters and would usually be the one to come up with the ideas. He also seemed to be the only one that used the Ghost Dematerializer.
Filmation Ghostbusters Animated Series[]
He seemed to care a great deal for his son and the fellow Ghostbusters.
As Jake Kong Sr., in 1986 he looks rejuvenated and much younger, maybe suggesting a technological/magical alteration of some sort.
Appearances[]
He was in all the episodes of The Ghost Busters, and in Ghostbusters episodes:
I'll Be A Son of a Ghostbuster (Part I)
Frights of the Roundtable (Part II) (recap only)
The Ones Who Saved The Future (Part V)
Family[]
- Ancestor in the old west.
- Grandpa Kong Father
- Jake Kong Jr. Son
Trivia[]
- Much of Forrest Tucker's portrayal of Jake Kong can be traced back to his role in F-Troop.
