- There is no transformation sequence, because Eddie has the Ghost Cuffs attached to his arm. The cuffs are added to the high five sequence, however.
- After Eddie almost drowned, Jake performs CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) correctly on him.
- The concept of two adversaries learning to overcome their difference while being handcuffed together is taken from the 1958 movie The Deviant Ones.
