- The animation of the Ghostbusters on the staircase, with Eddie Spenser Jr. falling down and being saved by the Ghost Gummer, is reused from the episode Statue of Liberty. Only Mysteria has been replaced by a Red Raspberry Ghost.
- Ghost Buggy mentions the 1968 movie The Love Bug at the Drive-In.
- The red vampire bat (Drac's bat form) from the Groovie Goolies makes another appearance inside the Haunted Painting.
- Writer J. Larry Carroll reused elements from a previous screenplay written by him for the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe episode Portrait of Doom for this episode.
Goofs[]
After being defeated, Prime Evil complaints about his robe being ruined. Then he faces Brat-A-Rat and his robe is fine again. But as he begins to chase Brat-A-Rat, the robe is stained once more.
